The dutch monthly car magazine AutoVisie visited the Salon in Geneva and wrote about it:
Volvo showed the car with which Jan Lammers hopefully get some points in the British Touring Car Champignonchips (BTCC). It will be a 850, already known, but Jan can go on holiday with it, since the sporty leaders of Volvo and TWR definately decided to race with the estate. How that will be must be seen, but theoretical a combi must be faster according to Lammers. That has to do with balance, streamline etc, but the most important thing is that Volvo prefers profiling with an estate. Will be an eye-catcher in the fields of course, such a brick. With the Swedish there was also a nice T-5 plus version of the normal Volvo 850. A limited edition (2500 pieces) with 240 Bhp engine, 7,0 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and a topspeed of 250 km/h. Only available in broken yellow (!) with special wheels. Lower and a bit stiffer that the standard Turbo 5.
